Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) as a farm model supports local food networks that connect you to your food, to the land and to the farmers who grow your food. As a member of a CSA, you share in the bounties as well as the risks of production, including poor harvest due to bad weather or pests. You and your family will have the opportunity to see your vegetables in the soil, and then on your table.
As an economic model, CSA membership gives you, the consumer, the choice to put your food dollars directly in the hands of a local family farm. Family farms like ours are then able to build a sustainable component of the local food economy. This creates a guaranteed market for our fresh food and in turn the chance for you to be directly involved in your food production. This market creates a community of dedicated members, a guaranteed income for the farmer, and the freedom to grow food in the best ways possible, for us and for the environment.
